It feels like a really difficult topic...It feels overwhelming...It feels scary...For some, it is a secret...For some, It is a word too scary to say.
To someone considering suicide, You are not alone...I know it is hard. You may have hit an obstacle, and you feel like you can not consider another solution. We can figure it out. Whatever you may have done or will do....It is okay. It is forgiveable...Give yourself some grace. There may be consequences, but they are temporary. I do not want you to be the one whose parents lose their child. I do not want you to be the person whose classmates mourn. Realize that you are someone’s happiness. I know it is hard to trust me, but you do not want to realize how important you when it is too late. You may want to graduate, to spend time with your friends, to go on your first date, get your first job, win that game, be on that team, be with your family or (1) million other things, and you can not do any of it if you are not here. We can not help you if you are not here. So if you’re thinking about suicide, think again. The best thing to do right now is to reach out. Reach out to someone, because more people care than you think. Find a teacher... Counselor....Parent...Friend - Find anyone that will listen, and keep talking until you find someone that will help. You are not alone, and help exists. Tomorrow things will likely look dramatically different then this moment...Please be here. As always, please feel free to visit anytime! Stacy Schepel. |
